He also served as Director of International and Payments at Kickstarter,  financial operations roles at Google and Eventbrite.

Pillar Financial, a Canadian neobank for small and medium businesses.  Elena has almost two decades of experience as payment, product and technology executive in the financial industry.  Her previous roles included VP of Engineering at KOHO (Canada neobank for consumers), Director of Product at nanopay (paytech), senior Blockchain innovation Product Lead at TD Bank and senior pre-sales architect at IBM.   Elena has actively participated in numerous Opening Banking consultations; was elected member of the Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) for Payments Canada as well as elected member of FinTech Advisory Committee, OSC LaunchPad.   Elena is also a recipient of the Innovation Award of Women in Payments in (2019) and one of the 35 women selected globally  out of 500+ applicants to Money20/20’s first inaugural Rise Up Program (2018).
